“Hudson River Sunset” is one of only a handful of original surviving shots I had taken early on in my career as a photographer. This particular image was taken only a few years after I had left Tampa and moved to Jersey City, and I think one of the most underrated things about NYC is the beauty of its natural sunrises and sunsets. They tend to be all the more beautiful and reflective for me due to the fast pace of life here, so it’s always a special treat to just “stop” and watch a sunrise or sunset, alone with one’s own thoughts.
